Overview
Badger Creek Weir Picnic Area is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Visitors can enjoy fresh mountain air and forest walks passing through ancient fern gullies, across clear mountain streams and meandering amongst mighty Mountain Ash.
With Badger Creek running through the park it is perfect for young children to splash about in or for dads to have their zen moment of building rock dam walls. With several rotundas for cover, ample parking, grass covered lawns and electric BBQs it is a great break from the bustle of the city.
If you go for a walk you may come across a lyrebird, kookaburra, rosellas and king parrots.
On a hot summers day the tree canopy will cut the temperature by 5 degrees or more.
