Welcome to Warburton Primary School!

Warburton Primary School has a fantastic and dedicated group of teachers and a great range of activities to offer your child. Our staff and teachers look forward to welcoming your child into our friendly and dynamic learning environment.

We incorporate the Independent Reader’s Workshop and Writer’s Workshop into our Literacy program across all levels, giving explicit teaching of skills and strategies. We value hands-on learning across all content strands in our Mathematics program. Our approach to inquiry and play-based learning places the child at the centre of the curriculum and teaching strategies; it ensures authentic personalised learning alongside formal, explicit instruction. We are proud to incorporate a whole-school approach to behaviour education through the Play is the Waymethodology.

As part of our curriculum we offer Physical Education, Music, Art, Japanese and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. Through our extensive grounds and wetlands we are able to stay in touch with nature and incoorprate sustainability programs into our teaching and learning. All our students have access to learning technologies and tools, such as laptops and iPads.

Our school slogan is ‘Small School – Big Heart’. Our enrolment of 60 promotes integration between older and younger children, with our ‘buddy’ program being a great success.
