Silvermist Studio is a jewellery gallery and goldsmith’s workshop.  The studio is nestled in picturesque Healesville in the Yarra Valley, about an hour from Melbourne. Silvermist Studio has a name for quality, style and personal service. Established in 1998 when Tim and his wife, Liz moved to Healesville, they purpose built their home with the studio and workshop space at the front and opened it to the public.

In 2015, seventeen years later Silvermist Studio has moved and now fills a dedicated studio and gallery space in the heart of Healesville’s bustling, cafe lined main street.

Silvermist Studio specialises in made-to-order pieces, however you can browse through a range of beautiful jewellery masterpieces both contemporary and classical, handcrafted by goldsmith Tim Peel.

If you have a special attachment to a piece of jewellery, Silvermist Studio offers a full restoration and renovation service.  This may include simple repair of claws and settings, or to remodel and a fresh beginning.  Talk to Tim and then watch as your ideas materialise before your eyes in ways you have only imagined!

TIM PEEL

Tim has been making and designing jewellery for well over 20 years now.  He originally found classes at secondary school inspired him to follow this interest to TAFE and then right through to completing a degree at Monash University.  Now a fellow of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia, creating jewellery is not just a job, but also a passion and a love.

Tim’s greatest pleasure is derived from making one-off handmade pieces to a person’s own specifications.  For Tim the focus is on you and your needs/desires in order to create a unique design that is especially for you.  From the simplest silver earrings to the most gorgeous, sophisticated diamond rings, Tim will cater to all your jewellery needs.

In 2013 Tim was elected to the National Council of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia where he plays a role in overseeing the standards and hallmarking of precious metals in Australia.
